Hello Ladies,

Let’s resolve to making these Scriptures our prayer for the New Year. For God wants us to pray in such a way. Let’s seek God and His Word for His Word is essential for our lives.

God is the One who will teach us His Word, He is the One who will help us understand it.

His Word will help us walk in His ways instead of the ways of the world.

He alone will write them on our hearts and help us to practice them in our lives.

His Word renews us and our minds are refreshed. We can focus on things above instead of all the things that distract us.

Father God, teach us Your truth. Help us to apply them in our lives. Help us to seek You always and Your full counsel through Your Holy Word. Renew us daily and help us to turn from the things of this world...

Hello Bloomista’s,

Bloomista was written to remind me and encourage me of God’s amazing grace.  I can flourish in God’s grace, and not be hindered by the circumstances in my life.  I can walk through the deserts, and become a garden and I will not wither. I can keep going.

A flower blooms from a seed planted in good soil…I am planted in the kingdom of God and in His truth.  A flower blooms from the proper sunlight…I have the Sonlight within me, Jesus Christ. A flower blooms from the proper moisture…I am watered by the Holy Spirit.

Fashioned reminds me that God is with me every step I take in life. Whatever a day may bring, good or bad, I know God is using it to fashion me into the image of His Son, and to bring Him glory.

Hello Ladies,

When I read Psalm 24:8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty; the LORD mighty in battle. I was in awe of it, and in awe of Jesus.

I have struggled with depression and the thoughts can be so overwhelming. Sad thoughts, dark thoughts. Thoughts of inadequacy, self worth, loneliness and hopelessness to name a few. Depression was truly a battle for me.  Although, I  have overcome depression by the grace of God, it doesn’t mean that bad thoughts don’t come anymore…they will come.  Why? Because our minds are a playground for Satan our enemy to torment us and pull us away from God.
He loves to bring confusion to our lives to doubt God and instill fear in us. But God does not want us to live in fear but to have peace.

Celebrating the birth of our Savior is what Christmas is all about. Yet, celebrating Christmas is something some cannot even think about or want to do. Understandable. Many are going through very difficult times, illness, loss of a loved one, broken relationships, financial hardship, addiction, depression, anxiety and hopelessness. The reason we get to a point where we don’t want to celebrate is because we look at our circumstances. There is too much pain, too much sorrow, too much hopelessness. In all of this if we choose to look at Jesus, we may find the reason to celebrate.

DON’T BE CAST DOWN…HOPE IN GOD

Hope

Psalm 42:5 “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted with me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.

Have you ever talked to yourself as King David did? In what or who have you put your hope in when you are feeling down?

I have definitely talked to myself when I am feeling down. And just like King David, I have also been anxious and agitated within my soul when things overwhelm me. As King David questioned himself he eventually lifted up his spirit by hoping in God. He trusted God would deliver him from his enemies.

Hope is key here.

Without Jesus, hope is a wish list. You cross your fingers, knock on wood and hope for something to happen…it is uncertain.

With Jesus, hope is part of our faith...

1 Samuel 30:6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

Upon returning from battle, David and his men found their city burning and their loved ones taken captive. They had lost everything. David was greatly distressed (great suffering) at the tragedy he just faced. And now he was also in great danger because the people were so grieved they wanted to stone him. Yet, he chose to strengthen himself in the LORD his God. David didn’t let the circumstances stop him from seeking his God and God gave him the strength he needed to continue...

Take the Battle

Battles

Are negative thoughts overwhelming you? I understand. Our mind is a battleground. We often talk about how easy it is to slip in to the snares of the devil. Just one little negative thought can turn into many bad thoughts. We are in a battle every day.

Well, I just want to assure you that as fast as the devil can snare you…God can save you! When the enemy attacks…Your Defender is Jesus Christ. You are not alone in the everyday battles. Many struggle with the same battle you do. The what if’s, the I should have’s, if only and so on…are experienced by many who are probably standing right next to you. Why because we are all targeted by an enemy who wants to take you down. You must believe in God’s truth and not the lies of the enemy.
